Interview continued – Part 2
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Probably not. We take a very hands on approach to teaching our style of weight loss and healthy eating. We’d need to train others to teach. We’d have to begin a seminar series, go on tour, you know, the limo, butler, the private jets. That sort of thing. (laughter)
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
We try to keep the costs low. But, we’re always studying, buying books and courses to improve our knowledge of the function of the body. We’re pretty much self taught but passionate about proper eating. And, of course, we’re all dealing with the upset in the economy. This is one thing that people can do by simply changing the aisles they shop in at their grocery store.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting the word out to enough people. There are plenty of people who need to lose weight. Just look around. We’re looking for those who are ready to do something about it. We’re looking for the volunteers. You can’t make someone do something even if it’s in their best interest. So, the biggest challenge is locating those ready, able and willing.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth, sharing with our friends and asking them to promote us to their lists. The “How to get through the holidays without exploding” tele-classes are starting the end of October. We’re about to launch a tele-intro to our classes as well. We’re expecting great turn outs and lots of class sign-ups.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Oh, my, it’s way more work than I ever thought it would be. It takes a lot of time to work through the pages, do the keyword research. The thought process to include ways to keep it relevant to humans, happy for SEO robots and make money at it is a bit of a challenge.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don’t enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
I would imagine this site will live on past me. I’ve run this site for less than a year and have no intention of ever quitting it. Traffic is beginning to flow. It’s an ever so slow increase but it’s there and steady. Given enough time we will rank high in the search engines. We’ve really got something to offer that is of benefit to the majority. We’ll just keep at it as long as someone is finding it to be of value.
Why are you so passionate about eating healthy?
There is so much unnecessary disease out there today it’s heart breaking. With a little direction, some education and lots of support people’s lives can be turned around. We’ve seen it happen on our small scale to ourselves and others we’ve taught.
We have a saying that keeps us going: “When you’re well life is ALL about what you want. When you’re ill, life is all about getting well.” It’s true, it’s a no brainer. We’re open to suggestions to get the word out so we can support as many as we can handle.

Keep up the amazing work!! I love how you wrote this and I also like the colors here on this site. Very good opinions expressed here
