Want an Easy Diet for Life? Learn These 5 Warning Signs and 7 Essential Elements

October 29, 2009 By: Lynn and Rick Category: Easy Weight Loss

Warning! Want a certain and easy diet program? Then, don’t start any diet plan or weight loss program before you’ve read this entire post all the way to the end, where you’ll learn the 5 essential warning signs to watch out for in any program you start and the 7 key elements you want included to assure your success.

Now, I’d bet you’ve already tried, if not one, perhaps several diets already, AND, that you’ve lost and gained back on all of them. That sort of disappointment tends to keep anyone from wanting to ever try again.

There’s a reason it didn’t work before. Obviously, you were motivated and wanted to get healthy. But, it was because someone forced their program of limited fixed scope into and onto your body. It just doesn’t work that way. You were set up for failure and you didn’t even know that your failure wasn’t your fault.

Before you invite anyone to your dinner table to dictate how you should eat, make sure you’ve covered the following 5 red flag items.

Number 1 – Watch out for any program that suggests you can lose weight by just taking a pill. Weight loss pills may work in the short run but over time they are unnatural and doomed to failure. The only pills you should take without your doctor’s consent are high quality, efficacious nutritional supplements, vitamins, minerals, omega-3 oils, a very effective antioxidant and CoQ-10.

Number 2 – Be wary of anyone that wants to sell you food. Again, you’ll lose weight as long as you buy their food. Once you stop, you’ll find that you’ve learned nothing about how to cook and how to eat and the weight will come right back. Plus, it’s expense.

Number 3 – We are not like a herd of buffalo. One size program cannot possibly fit all. If the program isn’t designed with your individual body type in mind, keep looking.

Number 4 – If the next plan you consider is not about firstly educating you, if they just want you to buy their program, food, pill or book, don’t get started.

And Number 5 – If you can’t get on-going support to transition you from your current eating habits into new ones, you are going to be left on your own to make it happen. Slam-bam, thanks for the sale and good luck to you.

OK, now, if you are serious about your health, plan to be here for a lot of years to come, and you’re not just a complainer about how tough it is, then here are the 7 things that you want to have in a program.

Key Point First of all, it’s not a diet or weight loss program you’re looking for. What you really want is a healthy eating and proper nutrition program. You see, your body will do miraculous things when given the proper nourishment and support. When you say “diet” it infers that it has a beginning and an end. But, your life goes on.

Secondly, you want a program that works with your body, with your individual metabolism. A plan that works with how your body digests food, converts it into fuel and then into healthy cells, tissues, organs and systems. And, you want an easy way to determine your metabolic type.

Nobody wants to go hungry or feel like they’ve been deprived of something. So, thirdly you want plenty of nutritious food, in the right proportions for your metabolism.

Fourth, unless you plan to eat every meal at home, the program you start must be portable. That means it’s not hard for you to look at a menu at a restaurant or the dining buffet at Aunt Emily’s for Thanksgiving and know what and how much to eat.

Fifth on the list of what you want is a program that promotes some sort of physical activity. Now, not all of us are gym rats and that’s OK. A sensible approach to exercising and being active is what you’re looking for.

Sixth, and it’s a concern for us all, you want a program that is affordable. Most of us don’t have a problem paying for something as long as we feel it is a fair price for a valuable service rendered. Make sure that there is a reasonable, no-questions-asked refund guarantee… in writing.

And finally, seventh, is having access to people in your healthy eating program. You want to be able to get answers to the questions you have or if you need emergency coaching when a piece of chocolate cake is screaming at you, you want to know you’ve got someone you can call.

So, who can you call? Is there anyone right now you can really count on?

Well, here’s something to consider.

You’ve been reading an article by Rick Lelchuk from Easy Diet for Life.com. Lynn and I would like to talk to you about becoming your weight loss accountability partner, the one’s you can absolutely count on to stick with you until you achieve your wellness goal.

Thanks for sticking with me to the end. It’s exactly what you can expect from us.

Why We Teach This Stuff

October 18, 2009 By: Lynn and Rick Category: Uncategorized

Everything starts with an idea, a thought or a mental image. Everything!

If an image is strong enough, compelling enough, you will be drawn into action. It happens all the time. You get an image of hunger and before you know it the thought has been transformed into some sort of action… a trip into the kitchen or a detour to a drive-thru.

So, anything we do actually begins as a mental moment of inspiration. The time between the momentary thought and physical action can be as short as instantaneous or as distant as infinity. You are either driven into action, taking steps to make that mental image a reality, or you put the thought aside. Once put aside though, many ideas will languish in a kind of mental purgatory.

What is the difference between one thought growing into a global movement for the good of humanity and an equally good thought never moving past the “nice idea” stage? The factors are far too vast for more than a mere mention here.

Napoleon Hill writes in Think and Grow Rich that “desire” and “belief” are the source of attaining great wealth. The argument could be made that the degree to which you desire a thing is the degree to which it will come to be. Equally, the intensity of your belief becomes the fuel from which an idea draws its drive and momentum.

Why we teach a class like GOING FAT2Lean falls neatly under these two powerful forces: desire and belief.

We are motivated by our deeply seated desire to offer the option of healthy eating to anyone willing to learn it. When you KNOW in an inner most place, in your being that a thing is right, it is workable for all and will benefit those who learn it, you teach it to anyone who is willing. We believe it and because of our belief in it, we teach it.

Our desire and belief is transferable. You might be sensing our level of commitment for your well being already. They say when the student is ready the teacher will show up. That means when you are ready we are the teachers who will show up.

Are you ready?

Easy Diet for Life: Diet-Master Interview – Part 1

October 05, 2009 By: Lynn and Rick Category: Easy Weight Loss, Healthy Eating, Low Glcyemic Diet

Let’s get right to it!

Please give us a short summary of your website?

A simple, effective easy diet program you can master. This healthy low glycemic diet works. You will Learn It Once and Use It for LIFE!

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Most of us have tried to lose some weight in the past only to find that it returns with ease. Having had success in losing and keeping it of by eating a low glycemic diet for your metabolic typing we, that is Lynn, my wife, and I decided it was important to share the information.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

It was also about weight loss and healthy eating in 2006. We’ve now moved everything to EasyDietforLife.com.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

We brainstormed for something catchy and revealing. One night Lynn just blurted out, “How about ‘easy diet for life’?” That’s all it took. I jumped up, ran to check the domain availability and the name was ours.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We educate firstly. Most diet sites try to sell you something right off the bat. Boring, been there, done that, AND bought the T-shirt, too. If you don’t know why you are doing something, there is no foundation to produce results. When you understand how your body uses what you eat to fuel your body it’s much easier to stick with a life style transition.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Firstly, we are there to educate, share what we’ve learned that works. Yes, we want to make a living from sharing healthy eating and are working to have the site provide some cash flow. We’d like to be able do this just because we love it, but there is food to put on the table and bills to pay like everyone else.

We have written an eBook about the course that we teach. We’d like to simply dominate weight loss on the Internet and to share the education that is vital to everyone’s health.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Ah, have spent lots and lots of time so far. Just beginning to move in the SEO rankings. It all takes time and it’s all based upon relevant content. We are not about hype; we’re about being real, about what works over the long haul.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I’d get some professional assistance to give the site some spark. And, of course, like so many, some inexpensive assistance in marketing and getting the word out.

Part 2 of this Interview follows.

Easy Diet for Life: Diet-Master Interview – Part 2

October 05, 2009 By: Lynn and Rick Category: Easy Weight Loss, Healthy Eating, Low Glcyemic Diet

Interview continued – Part 2

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Probably not. We take a very hands on approach to teaching our style of weight loss and healthy eating. We’d need to train others to teach. We’d have to begin a seminar series, go on tour, you know, the limo, butler, the private jets. That sort of thing. (laughter)

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

We try to keep the costs low. But, we’re always studying, buying books and courses to improve our knowledge of the function of the body. We’re pretty much self taught but passionate about proper eating. And, of course, we’re all dealing with the upset in the economy. This is one thing that people can do by simply changing the aisles they shop in at their grocery store.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting the word out to enough people. There are plenty of people who need to lose weight. Just look around. We’re looking for those who are ready to do something about it. We’re looking for the volunteers. You can’t make someone do something even if it’s in their best interest. So, the biggest challenge is locating those ready, able and willing.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth, sharing with our friends and asking them to promote us to their lists. The “How to get through the holidays without exploding” tele-classes are starting the end of October. We’re about to launch a tele-intro to our classes as well. We’re expecting great turn outs and lots of class sign-ups.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Oh, my, it’s way more work than I ever thought it would be. It takes a lot of time to work through the pages, do the keyword research. The thought process to include ways to keep it relevant to humans, happy for SEO robots and make money at it is a bit of a challenge.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don’t enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I would imagine this site will live on past me. I’ve run this site for less than a year and have no intention of ever quitting it. Traffic is beginning to flow. It’s an ever so slow increase but it’s there and steady. Given enough time we will rank high in the search engines. We’ve really got something to offer that is of benefit to the majority. We’ll just keep at it as long as someone is finding it to be of value.

Why are you so passionate about eating healthy?

There is so much unnecessary disease out there today it’s heart breaking. With a little direction, some education and lots of support people’s lives can be turned around. We’ve seen it happen on our small scale to ourselves and others we’ve taught.

We have a saying that keeps us going: “When you’re well life is ALL about what you want. When you’re ill, life is all about getting well.” It’s true, it’s a no brainer. We’re open to suggestions to get the word out so we can support as many as we can handle.

Such An Easy to Follow Diet Even a Caveman Could Get It Right!

September 13, 2009 By: Lynn and Rick Category: Healthy Eating, Low Glcyemic Diet

It’s obvious you want an easy to follow diet, one that’s so easy even a caveman could get it right?

There is an easy low glycemic diet that works like that, uh, but, hold on to your socks here, it’s so easy they actually DID get it right!

There is a very important lesson to be learned from our caveman ancestors. Ever seen a PubMed report about caveman diabetes, caveman cancer, caveman heart disease or caveman obesity? Me neither.

Why? Because fellow cavemen weren’t offering to super-size their meals around every boulder. They didn’t process their food or put additives into it, heck, cavemen didn’t even grow their own food.

But, it makes sense. Cavemen, and cavewomen too, ate a diet that was fresh, raw and natural. It wasn’t plentiful so meals were smaller. Today it may be a challenge to eat entirely fresh, raw and natural, but leaning toward that kind of diet can impact one’s health, energy, weight, girth and attitude all positively.

Some say that since we don’t live like cave dwellers, there’s no reason to eat like them. Actually, there is ample reason to eat like them, a logical reason to eat like them.

Agriculture has been around for about 12,000 years; give or a take a couple of years. Food cultivation and distribution has progressed a long way in that time so that not everyone has to farm for survival. In modern times food has become big business and food processing has altered the nature of the food on the grocery store shelf. Processing has stripped out bio-available nutrients and replaced them with man-made preservatives, additives and coloring.

Here’s the key – Our bodies have not evolved as fast as the changing nature of our food.

Now it is more important than ever to get back to an easy to follow simple diet.

Here are five easy to follow steps to a diet suitable for a caveman/woman’s body:

Number ONE:  IDENTIFY

Identity your metabolic typing. Learn how your body processes carbohydrates, proteins and fats.

Number TWO: EAT

Eat the right percentage of proteins, carbohydrates and good fats for your metabolic type. Learn what percentages of foods kick your fat burning mechanism into gear. Supplement your diet with quality nutritional supplements.

Number THREE: CHOOSE
When choosing your carbohydrates choose low glycemic – Choose Green! Get support, to make the transition from high sugar content white foods (potatoes, rice, bread, pasta, etc.) to green foods (unprocessed fresh vegetables and fruits).

Number FOUR: FOLLOW THESE RULES
Follow these Life Long Success Rules.

  1. Whenever possible, eat foods in their natural state.
  2. Eat foods that are harder to digest.
  3. Eat foods that are high in fiber.
  4. Time your food intake.
  5. Avoid white foods.
  6. Do not use artificial sweeteners.
  7. Drink sufficient clean water.
  8. Get the support you need. Nobody does this alone.

Number FIVE: BE ACTIVE
Incorporate physical activity everyday. Walking is a great activity. Increase your activity daily.

It’s simple, it’s an easy to follow diet plan and once you’ve learned it and applied it you get to use it for life, the rest of your healthy life.

One final thought. Transitioning from your current diet is going to take some habit changing, life altering moves on your part. We’ve found that few take the initiative to follow through. Did we mention this before? Yup! Get the support you need. We did and we’re glad we did.

More than glad, we’re compelled to show you what we learned. Find out what we mean at Easy Diet for Life.

The Logical Choice FOR Healthy Weight Loss and Healthy Eating

August 26, 2009 By: Lynn and Rick Category: Healthy Eating

Just how annoyed with your alleged easy weight loss program do you have to get before you do something about it? You know you should eat healthy, yeah but, yeah but, yeah but…

A man waits impatiently for his doctor in an examination room. Fiddling with the string on is hospital gown he wonders about his medical exam results and what could be taking so long?

Finally, in comes the doctor and they greet each other with a nod and a handshake. The doctor begins to review the man’s chart. More fiddling with the string when the doctor begins to speak, “George you’ve been my patient for a long time and I’m going to give it to you straight. You can either dedicate 60 minutes a day to an exercise program and learning how to eat properly or you can be dead 24 hours a day. Which would you prefer?”

This scene never happened; at least we don’t think it did, but it certainly illustrates the point. The healthy choice is ours. Each one of us has the choice to move toward optimal health or to move further away from it. The simple act of taking a few minutes to learn how to eat healthy, the simple act of taking a few minutes to be more active today than yesterday will make a difference, a significant difference in a short time.

When make an active choice they select from a number of possibilities; they pick responsibility by preference after consideration to the alternatives and their consequences. So should one choose to ignore the massive amounts of health related information regarding the benefits to healthy eating and increased physical activity they face the possibility of dealing with poor healthy and a shortened life expectancy.

By choosing a sensible course of action to promote good health and longevity one chooses to respect the package Mother Nature has provided, to show it respect and honor the being held within.

You see, there is much more at stake here – there is the focus of your attention. You get to either choose to focus on the things you want, the things that inspire you, motivate you, interest you or you are forced to focus on resolving health issues.

Which would you prefer, spending a couple of hours learning and applying healthy eating, healthy activity and healthy weight management principles, learning it once or being overweight, prone to sickness and being forced to deal with the medical establishment for the rest of your life?

That’s why the logical choice is FOR health.
